Porsche Paint Reconditioning
It’s not every day one of these comes across your desk – or van as it were. A big smile is what I had when I saw it, followed by a broken heart. It was hammered with millions of fine paint stone chips. Not to mention a few not so fine. Very much evident that someone had enjoyed owning it. Good for them!
A few hours of buffing and polishing paint detailing brought out a very nice glow in the paintwork with an intense sparkle from the fine metallic. Followed by a quick water blast to remove all traces of dust or residue in those hard to reach places. Add another couple of hours for the paint stone chip repair portion. All finished off with OptiCoat Pro from Optimum Car Care Products. The result, a BIG SMILE.
Water Spots and Coatings
While there are many protective paint coatings. It’s is important to note that they are not likely to stop water spots. However, they will make it easier to remove them.
Prevention
Application of sacrificial protective layers like DuraSeal or OptiCoat Pro will help significantly. However, regular paint surface cleaning and waxing will also help for non-coated vehicles.

Surface preparation is paramount when working with correcting blemishes in clear coat. After all, we both want to be smiling at the end of it. We start with removing all environmental pollutants from the clear coat. Wax and grease removers are excellent for removing tar. While methylated spirits are good for removing pollen.
Our paint correction detailing process is a three-stage cut polish with clarity refine. The paint surface clarity refine really brings out the depth and gloss in the paint finish.
