2019 Pork Pie Updates
January 2019;
An update from the little yellow Mini crew:
We have been quite busy displaying the car with the flags up. We’ve mainly used ’Salmon Tales’, a very busy café in Rakaia, situated on SH1 which attracts a lot of travelers wishing to take a break from driving.As well, I took the car down to Cromwell last weekend for their classic car show, a very popular annual event in Central Otago, displaying with 3 other cars from the PP Run. This also gave me the opportunity to trial the car on a long trip (850kms return) in case the blue one’s repairs haven’t been completed in time for the run. I did go and visit it last week and found it hasn’t been started yet! They are aware of the run and have it scheduled for beginning in the next two weeks. So, my fingers are crossed. However, the yellow car performed beautifully with no problems. 850km is far longer than the longest day of the PP Run! We are coming into the car show season and will be attending as many of these as we can, flying the flags!
